Love Your Layout but Not Your Doors?

Cabinet Refacing in Princeton, NJ

New doors, drawer fronts, and veneer on your existing boxes for a fresh kitchen in about a week.

Is Cabinet Refacing Right for Your Kitchen?

Refacing works best when two things are true. Your cabinet boxes are in good condition, and you like where everything is. If your kitchen has solid maple, oak, or plywood boxes from the 1980s or 1990s, you're likely a great fit. Many homes in West Windsor, Plainsboro, and South Brunswick have exactly that: a layout that works and doors that look dated.

Refacing is not the right call if your boxes have water damage, sagging shelves, or particleboard that's swelling. It also won't help if you want to move the sink or add an island. In those cases, replacement makes more sense, and we'll tell you that up front. Call (609) 745-1325 and we'll look at your boxes in person.

What's Included in a Refacing Job

New Doors and Drawer Fronts

You pick the style: shaker, flat slab, raised panel, or beadboard. Doors come in solid wood, wood veneer, painted MDF, or rigid thermofoil. Each one is made to fit your openings.

Veneer on the Cabinet Frames

We cover the face frames and exposed sides with matching veneer, so the boxes blend with your new doors. No more mismatched end panels.

Soft-Close Hinges and Drawer Slides

Every refacing job comes with new hinges. Most homeowners add soft-close slides at the same time, so drawers glide shut quietly.

New Hardware

Pulls and knobs finish the look. We bring samples to your visit so you can see them next to your door color.

Optional Add-Ons

Crown molding, light rail, new toe kicks, glass-front uppers, and roll-out trays can all be added during refacing for far less than in a full remodel.

Cabinet Refacing FAQs

How long do refaced cabinets last?

With wood veneer or solid wood doors, refaced cabinets can last 20 years or more with normal care. Laminate and thermofoil faces last less, often 10 to 15 years, and can peel near ovens if not protected with a heat shield.

Can I switch the color of my cabinets with refacing?

Yes. You pick a brand-new door style and finish, and the veneer on the frames is matched to it. Going from honey oak to white shaker is one of the most common refacing jobs we do around Princeton.

Do I need new countertops when I reface?

No. Refacing leaves your countertops in place. If you want new counters too, the best time is right after refacing, and we can work with your countertop installer on timing.
